You wont find this jig for sale in the big shops and catalogues because there is not anough mark-up for them. This jig is manufactured of such quality materials and to such a high standard that it costs almost as much to make as you are paying for it.
The Hollowing Shear Scraper was designed by Tobias Kaye during research into hollowing methods for an article for Good Woodworking magazine in 1992 (issue 9). It is a more robust version of the tool used by Dell Stubbs to turn his bowls down to 4 thousandths of an inch thick.
